307. Intelligent Design on Trial

Intelligent Design went on trial September 2005 in the Federal District Court at Harrisburg, PA.  The legal case is called Kitzmiller vs. Dover.  Go to National Center for Science Education (NSCE)   to learn more about it as NCSE served as a pro bono consultant for the “evolution” or plaintiff legal team.

The Federal District Court found Intelligent Design (ID) to be a form of creationism and therefore unconstiituional to teach in the public school system.  What do you think about this decision?

Several books came out of the national media’s attention on this case presenting both sides of the argument.  You may have read one or an article on it.  Again, what do you think about this decision?

I think my position on this decision will surprise you.

Here is the question:

Is “the theory that life, or the universe, cannot have arisen by chance and was designed and created by some intelligent entity.”  a form of creationism?

Well, according to the Federal District Court: YES.  And according to Intelligent Design.org: NO.

What do you think?

Well, with the given definition of Creationism (see the one given by Dictionary.com)  then Intelligent Design is creationism because by definition creationism is God creating the universe.  Circular reasoning.

What I want to point out is that the theory of evolution with its materialism and big bang is creationism also; but with a different creation power, force or god.  It all depends on your definition of creationism.

The theory of evolution is “the doctrine that matter and all things were created out of nothing”  In other words, by itself rather than the Christian God.  The theory of evolution is “the doctrine that the true story of the creation of the universe is as it is recorded in Origin of Species by Charles Darwin rather than God described in the Bible.

The way I see it is that ID is a form of creationism just like evolution and all of the other creation myths.  Except that ID seems more scientific in that it fits with the Lasws and Theoryies of Science.  The theory of evolution does not fit reality.  Remember, a theory has to coincide with reality or it is something like fiction or magic.

The theory of evolution does not match reality because it non-compatible with other scientific laws such as the Law of Non’contradiction, Law of Uniformity, Law of Motion and many others.

Evolution is like the picture above, they have the big bang hypothesis on how the stuffed pillow exploded into the universe today, but creationism should be entire story.  How the dog, swing and pillow came into being to have an explosion.

If you think evolutionist’s explanation of creation of the universe through initial singularity and quantum fluctuation, is sufficient, you are mistaken.  It sounds great with complete explanation like all Gizmos and popertual motion machines, but it is still rabbit out of the hat magic.  I know this because the entire story violates known laws of science.

We all have a creation story in our “religious belief”.  Even an atheist believes in creationism.  Just a different god.
