There are lots of mutations. Do a Google Image search on animal mutations and you will see some images that are not very appetizing. As you look at those images, ask yourself, “How many of these mutations are productive?”

They say that the physical and behavioral changes that make natural selection possible happen at the DNA and genes level. It has to. How else can the animal pass on such improvements? Such changes are called “mutations.”
So, let’s talk about is evolution a theory by discussing mutation. Did you know that something has to cause mutations. Mutations can be caused by chemical or radiation damage or errors in DNA replication. We also know that slight changes happen in animals in order to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. But this is NOT mutation. It is horizontal evolution or adaptation.
Mutations are either harmful or neutral. We know of no positive mutation in centuries of genetic engineering by farmers. Imagine a 6-legged horse that can run faster the Kentucy Derby. Imagine a positive mutation with any animal. I did not see any in Google Images as I ponder the question, is evolution a theory.
The question that the theory of evolution must answer is about mutation. If an animal mutates to a higher more complex species, will it become more prevalent in the next generation and spread throughout the population.
If natural selection guides the evolutionary process, preserving and adding up the beneficial mutations and rejecting the bad ones, there are two scientific question:
- What is the force or mechanic that creates the improved DNA?
- How does it get recorded in the DNA to pass the improvement along?
Don’t just pass the above questions off. These questions are scientific inquiry. We are talking science aren’t we?
There is good reason we will never see positive mutations that Live Science claims occurs. Laws of Science says we will not. DNA information does not just happen. Law of Information and Law of Cause and Effect do rule.
There is a cause and effect association. Actions do have consequences. Radioactive exposure and other forces do cause mutation. Is did a drug addicted mother going to birth Einstein Junior ? Or, according to evolution, birth a super species, one notch up from human? Or, according to reality, birth a deformed muted human?
Mutation just happens and the animals pass it on is “rabbit out of the hat” magic. When the rabbit comes out of the hat you have questions. Who put the rabbit in the hidden location? Where is the hidden location? How did the rabbit get from its hidden location into the hat?
If evolution is a scientific theory, then ask evolution the same basic questions. Let us drop the magic rabbit out of the hat science and get real.
