If you were a member of a jury and hearing a murder case, you would want the prosecution to present some evidence. Would you want to see the smoking gun?
Is Evolution A Theory? Then let us see the evidence. Show me the smoking gun
I understand Historical Scientist, Intelligent Design Scientist, and Evolution Scientist debating the fossil record, and the missing link. Because there is much to debate.
But where is the evidence? Show me the smoking gun!
Paleontologists found the fossilized remains of Ambulocetus natans in 1994 and called it the Latin name for “swimming-walking whale.” Its forelimbs had fingers and small hooves but its hind feet were enormous given its size. It was clearly adapted for swimming but it was also capable of moving clumsily on land, much like a seal. They called this find the smoking gun.
But how does this PROVE evolution? (See my post on asking questions.)
I do not want to put a damper on the evolution party but there is more to scientific proof than finding a smoking gun or a fossil record that we can speculate over.
To get a conviction, the jury needs PROOF. Bullet size, barrel tracks, firing pin imprints and even finger prints are all evidence. All of the evidence is based on science. But make no mistake, it is not proof; only evidence. What we really need to know is why. Proof lies in the motivation?
If evolution theory is based on science, we need to see how, why, when, and where things like DNA changed. What force makes an animal produce something more complex than its kind? Put another way, what motivated more and different information into the animal’s DNA than it was born with?
Scientic proof is demonstrating the biological law or force that provides for species to upgrade. Is evolution a theory?
A historical theory, yes. Not a scientific theory until a scientist shows how DNA information upgrades occur. Frankly, the magic words of mutation, chance, and natural selection have no power to change DNA.
Until biological scientist show the force that causes the DNA upgrade, I have no choice but to believe the Law of Information and other Laws of Science.
Why? Becasue I believe in the Laws of Science; not speculation
