Introduction to the 7 Days of Evolution
In my engineering audit and forensic investigation to determine the truth about my question: is evolution a valid theory?, I adapted materialism’s explanation of the universe’s evolution into seven (7) independent and manageable fields of study for analysis.
The Darwinian Theory of Evolution asserts that the entire un-directed, random chance processes of natural selection and random mutations are fully capable of producing the intricate structures that appear designed for a purpose in living systems. This is the theory of biological evolution. But there is more.
As science progressed since Darwin published his book, On the Origin of Species (1859), materialists have found it necessary to expand their beliefs to cover materialistic explanations of the creation of and maturing of the universe. Their explanations sound correct, logical, and reasonable. But my friend, the devil is in the details and there are a lot of details missing. Stay with me.
Mechanisms of Evolution
Evolution, like all theories, begins as a “hypothesis”. Here we examine the entire mechanism of biological and cosmic evolution and what materialist proposed happened over billions of years to get where we are today. To do this, we have to simplify the vast areas of evolution and fields of science as follows:
The seven (7) days of complete universal evolution are as follows:
Day 1 – Cosmic Evolution –
space, time, matter, and energy arise from nothing. Whether by singularity, inflation, big bang, etc. this is about the beginning of our universe along with information and mathematics that govern them.
Day 2 – Element or Chemical Evolution– elements, chemicals, and minerals appeared.
Day 3 – Stellar Evolution – galaxies, stars, planets, comets, and moons emerged..
Day 4 – Organic Evolution – living cells emerged from natural inorganic chemicals. Life arising from non-living chemistry is called Abiogenesis.
Day 5 – Vertical Evolution – more complex species emerged from less complex creatures. This is often called Speciation or macroevolution..
Day 6 – Horizontal Evolution – species adapt to the surrounding environment. This is often called microevolution.
Day 7 – Evolution rested – what we actually observe today. After thousands of years of purposed agricultural genetic manipulation by humans, we see nothing fundamentally new arising; we see only adaptation.
Summary
You see, “Evolution” is NOT just about the creation of new animals and plants, it is about everything you see in the universe and on our planet. You may think that I am unreasonable with this 7 day organization. I understand. But I use this as an organizing framework for analysis and not a strict timeline. You can read more about these different types of evolution from The National Academies of Sciences Engineering Medicine in their book Science and Creationism – A View from the National Academy of Sciences”, they write, “But the processes by which planets, stars, galaxies, and the universe form and change over time are also types of “evolution.”
While evolution is claimed to be blind, without direction, and without purpose, I would rather follow the science. I think you will find that the result of conscious humans on a life-sustaining planet seems to have come about with direction and purpose rather than random chance.
So, join me in examining the 7 days of evolution to determine: “is evolution is a theory“.
