I recently returned from a Florida Department of Transportation Symposium in Orlando Florida. If you have a heart beat you know that Disney World is located in Orlando. While I have not attended the “Engineering Tour” that has been offered during past Florida Engineer Society or American Public Works Association conferences in Orlando, I have heard great things.
Do you know that the above ground Disney World is about imagination and the below ground Disney World is about reality? Have you ever really thought about what is underground at Disney World?
Below ground is the transportation tunnels that move people, supplies, water, sewer, electric, etc. That is where reality takes place to present the imagination above ground.
This reminds me of the Theory of Evolution. The theorist imagine a wonderful world of evolution but the fact is that reality (ie Laws of Science) does not allow a wonderful world of evolution. Let me give you a specific example.
Evolution claims that our universe came out of nothing. The “mechanism” may vary; explosion, expansion, whatever. Can this really happen? Can our universe explode into existence from nothing? You may think so. You may believe it because scientist (reliable experts) have told you. But I ask you to think about it. Ask yourself some critical questions based on high school science and logic such as:
- Can something come out of nothing?
- Can you get an explosion when there is nothing to explode?
- Is it logical that nothing can create something?
Think about this. There was nothing. Now there is an awesome star light Milky Way galaxy that you can see. I am not sure you really get this. It takes some thinking. There was no-thing, nothing, not even a vacuum. But, now there are law of nature, mathematics, beauty, space-time dimension and a universe that test our imagination.
Is evolution a theory? If you go to Disney World and dig down, you will find the reality tunnels. If you go to the Theory of Evolution and dig down you will find reality of science and a failed Theory of Evolution.
