Have you ever heard of the Double Truth Theory? Probably not as it is not studied or promoted. But make no mistake it is still alive and practiced today!
The Double Truth Theory states that, using different sources of knowledge, you may come to two contradictory or incompatible truths that are both true. (click here for Britannica definition and click here for Encyclopedia.com definition).
While I know the following is simplified (click here to see the evolution model), it is accurate, so please bear with me on my simplification but true statements about evolutionist beliefs.
Is Evolution A Theory claims that evolutionist practice the Double Truth Theory.
Here is why. Evolutionist believe in the following two truths:
- Truth A) Evolution – the universe came into existence from nothing into a point of singularity (big bang, explosion, etc.).
- Truth B) Science – Law of Conservation of Energy (energy cannot be created or destroyed but only converted) .
As we examine is evolution a theory, let us look at truths A and B. Can you understand that Truth A and Truth B are incompatible? (Click here to read more about the Law of Conservation of Energy.) Is it logical and rational to claim that no scientific research labatory can create energy (science) but that energy created itself (evolution philosophy)? This is Double Truth Theory.
Let us look at another example of how evolutionist practice Double Truth Theory.
Evolutionist believe in the following two truths:
- Truth C) Evolution – life came out of inorganic matter (premordial soup).
- Truth D) Science – Law of Biogenesis (life comes from pre-existing life) .
As we examine is evolution a theory, let us look at truths C and D. Can you understand that Truth C and Truth D are incompatible? (Click here to read more about Biogenesis at Britannica.) Is it logical and rational to claim that life can come out of a soup made from water running over rocks and sand (inorganic matter – evolution philosophy) but that organisms arise only by the reproduction of other organisms (science – Law of Biogenesis)? This is Double Truth Theory.
Is Evolution A Theory? Well, yes and no. Yes, it is a Double Truth Theory and No, it is not a scientific theory because it is not compatible with many Laws of Science.
