908. Law of Construction

“Nothing can be constructed without intent and purpose.”

Cross Section of a Plant Cell

Have you ever really thought about what it takes to construct something? You may already know what it takes because you have built something. It could be as simple as installing a shade sail over your outdoor patio with all of the needed chords, post, footers, roof connectors, etc.

Or maybe you have had to fix something that broke. You may have had to fix a grommet that came loose from your shade sail. How did you reinforce the torn area? What did you do for a grommet? What glue did you use? Did it hold and for how long before you re-constructed it? Did you test it?

If you have participated in any of the above, you should know how hard it is to create something from scratch and get it operational. (Disregard any testing and adjustments or back to the drawing board.)

My point is to address the question, Is Evolution A Theory? As I write about this subject, keep in mind the cell of an animal or plant with all of its parts.

A little cell information to wet our brain. Cells are the smallest denominator of life. All cells have the same major classes of organic molecules: proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, and lipids. Cells are small and have a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and task. Some cell task include tissues (nerves), operations (blood), organs (liver), and eventually entire organisms.

As a Professional Engineer and experienced Project Manager, below is a list of things I would think about if I were going to build a live cell. You can visit many different websites to get a list of task in the building construction process. Click Here for Civil Jungle.

Pre-Construction task: Talk to the owners and obtain their vision and desire for the construction project.

  • Seek creative advise (Landscape Architect maybe) on what we want – the big picture (organic cell or inorganic cell) (Pet Rock is an example of inorganic cell).
  • Acquire location to construct or build the cell.
  • Seek technical advise on what we want the cell to do.
  • Seek systems advise on how to keep the cell alive so we do not have to construct another new one.
  • Design process – decide on what we need in the cell and how all of these parts interact and communicate?
  • Design construction sequence – what will be constructed first and last.
  • Seek environmental control advise – what to do when a foreign particle invades the cell environment.
  • Prepare estimation and budgets – all of the materials that will be needed.
  • Building security review – how to keep foreign material out of our secure construction zone.
  • Approach a contractor to confirm that this can be built and they have all of the materials necessary.
  • Quality control review to make sure we have no odd ball needs that a contractor does not have.

Building Construction Questions: I will not bore you will all of the ideas I have here but let me ask some construction questions.

  • Who was the contractor
  • Where did the supplies for the cell come from? (supplies are the things with arrows on them in the graphics)
  • Who made the supplies for the cell that the contractor used?
  • Who tested the cell?
  • What communication system is the cell using to coordinate its operation?
  • Where did the first cells get there operational energy?
  • Who performed the burn in and made system modifications?
  • Who created the RNA information and catalytic functions?

I hope you understand that nothing just happens. For a complex system to occur it must be imagined, purposed, designed, constructed, tested and modified. There is a burn in process for an operating system; water plans to software.

Do you think that, (according to Nature Education) “This original cell was likely little more than a sac of small organic molecules and RNA-like material that had both informational and catalytic functions.” If so, please see the above question and rethink you evolutionary position.

Is Evolution A Theory? It cannot be because it is incompatible with the Law of Construction. Evolution cannot explain who, where, what, when, how of cell construction.
