On this Thanksgiving eve, what are you thankful for? Like you, I am grateful for many things.
Have you ever wondered where Thanksgiving came from? I am not talking about humans setting up a day to be thankful for the harvest. Canada celebrates Thanksgiving in October. US celebrates Thanksgiving in November. Different harvest times.
I am asking the question from an evolution point of view. Are animal thankful? I don’t remember any of my dogs, rabbits, etc. thanking me for anything. They just said “feed me”.
What are you thankful for and who are you thankful to?
Can an evolutionist tell me? Where did Thanksgiving come from? From sharks? From monkeys?
What evolutionary event or evolutionary mutation made humans thankful for their harvest?
Can an evolutionist tell me? What is the object of your thankfulness? Who are you thanking? What did “it” do for you to deserve being thanked?
I cannot substantiate this statement other make as a speculative observation: Not observing any reason for natural selection to create “thanksgiving”, I believe that the “thanksgiving” holiday is piece of evidence against evolution.
