Silicon Valley’s Quest for Immortality and DNA

Have you ever wanted to be immortal … to live forever?

Well there are some Silicon Valley elite’s are working at it – or at least putting up some of their money.  Click Here to read the article from the Guardian:

Scientists and entrepreneurs are working on a range of techniques, from attempting to stop cells aging, to the practice of injecting young blood into old people – a process denounced as quackery by the Federal Drug Administration this week.

Where do you think the scientist’s efforts are focused?  DNA of course.  This is the blueprint of life and they hope to change it.  In each of the different research areas that the Guardian article discusses, there is a hypothesis on how longevity can be extended.  A specific example of this is found at ScienceMag.org in an article on naked mole rates (Click Here to read the article).  Here is an exert:

Studies have shown that naked mole rats have very active DNA repair and high levels of chaperones, proteins that help other proteins fold correctly.

So what does- this have to do with Is Evolution A Theory?  Simply this: DNA.  You see in all of the DNA research in the last 50 years and in all of the genetic engineering in the last 3,000 years, no one has demonstrated life coming out of non-life.

If evolution were true, science would see some examples of life coming out of non-life or at least a new and improved species with their new DNA.   We see neither.  All we see is adaptation which is the only thing Darwin saw in the Galapagos Islands – adapting mocking birds, tortoises, finches, etc.
